A family of four people, including one child, were left without a home following a weekend fire, according to the Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross, which assisted the family.
The fire occurred Jan. 29 at a single family home on Salem Circle Drive where three adults and a child lived, according to red cross officials.
Since July 1, red cross volunteers have assisted 352 people, including 138 children, who have been displaced by home fires in the Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties. The chapter has provided more than $62,000 in direct financial aid.
Additional details about the cause of the fire were not immediately available.
