Myrtle Beach man reports being assaulted for refusing to pay for tattoo

A 32-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police he was assaulted after he refused to give his friend money for a tattoo, according to a police report.

Officers found the man standing outside the clubhouse at 830 44th Ave. N., at 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The man had minor scratch marks on his face and refused medical treatment.

The man told police the 36-year-old suspect came to his house about 20 minutes earlier and wanted money for a tattoo, according to the report. The man said when he declined to give the suspect money the man hit him in the face.

The man told police he did not want to press charges against the suspect, who had left the area when police arrived, according to the report.
