The Coast Guard continues its search today for three missing boaters who were expected to return from a fishing trip in the Winyah Bay area on Thursday, officials said Tuesday morning.
Jim Sanders, 67, Steve Sanders, 44, and Andy Murray, 34 were last seen Thursday morning leaving aboard a 23-foot center-console fishing boat from South Island Ferry Landing near Georgetown, the Coast Guard said.
The trio had planned to return before sunset Thursday.
The last contact with the men was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and they were last seen near Belle Island, Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Ryan Rhodes said. There have been no reports of distress signals from the men.

A 25-foot rescue boat crew from the Georgetown Coast Guard station, a Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew from Charleston, and members of the state's Department of Natural Resources and Georgetown County Sheriff's Office have been searching for the men.
