A traffic safety checkpoint held Thursday night at Coastal Carolina University yielded 19 citations and one arrest, according to authorities.
The 15th Circuit Law Enforcement Network conducted the checkpoint along University Boulevard late Thursday, said Jim Allen, a network coordinator and investigator with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
There were 34 officers representing 14 agencies from Horry and Georgetown counties at the checkpoint, Allen said. Police issued 19 citations, arrested one person and towed one vehicle.
