A North Charleston man was sentenced to 11 years in prison on a robbery charge that occurred in Horry County, according to court records.
Jonathan Joe Hemingway, 24, pleaded guilty to armed robbery before Circuit Court Judge Edward Cottingham, who sentenced him to 11 years in prison, records show. Hemingway was given credit for the time he’s served and ordered to pay court costs.
Police arrested Hemingway on Nov. 4 and charged him with armed robbery, assault with intent to kill, kidnapping, discharging a firearm into a dwelling and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, records show. Information about the incident the charges stemmed from was not immediately available.
