Georgetown County Sheriff’s deputies this morning captured and charged Jimmy Dale Cagle, 36, in a robbery that occurred Sunday at a convenience store on High Market Street.
Deputies said Cagle is accused of robbing the story about 1 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses told police that a man entered the store, walked to a cooler then approached the counter, where he reached over the counter and took cash the left.
Police searched for him using tracking dogs and lost track of him behind the store. Surveillance video from the store helped police identify a suspect.
Cagle is charged with strong arm robbery and is being held at Georgetown Detention Center.

Sheriff Lane Cribb said tips from the community helped lead to the arrest, and he encouraged people to call in tips in other instances.
