Georgetown County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a 36-year-old man wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store, according to Deputy Russell Goodale, public information officer.
Jimmy Dale Cagle, 36, is wanted on charges related to the robbery that occurred just after 1 a.m. Sunday at 9275 High Market St. in Georgetown, Goodale said.
Deputies responded to the store for a robbery and witnesses said that the suspect entered the store and walked to the cooler and then approached the counter, Goodale said. Once at the counter the suspect reached over the counter and forcefully took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before he ran out.

No one was hurt during the incident.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Bloodhound Tracking Team responded and the dogs led handlers into the neighborhood behind the store before they lost the track a few blocks away, Goodale said.
After viewing store surveillance video and speaking with several witnesses on scene, deputies identified the suspect as Cagle, Goodale said.
