Horry County fire rescue officials continue to investigate a yard debris fire that injured two men late Thursday, according to Leslie Yancey, public information officer for the department.
A 25-year-old man was flown by helicopter to a Chapel Hill, N.C., burn center and a 34-year-old was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after Horry County fire officials were called about 6 p.m. Thursday for a fire incident, according to authorities.
The younger man had suffered severe burns and the older man suffered burns to his lungs, Yancey said Thursday. The incident occurred off Duberry Farm Road in the Little River area.
Firefighters believe the injury was caused by a yard debris fire, Yancey said. Updated conditions of the men were not immediately available early Friday.
