A federal judge sentenced a North Carolina man to more than 15 years in prison for having 150 pounds of marijuana and weapons violations in Brunswick County, N.C., according to a news release.
Michael Delfonte Bernard, 49, was sentenced Wednesday in a Wilmington, N.C., courtroom in connection with a 2007 case that occurred in the Bolivia and Leland areas, according to authorities.
Police arrested Bernard in 2008 for having 150 pounds of marijuana and on weapons violations, according to the release. He was sentenced to 190 months in a federal prison.
In February, Bradley Maurice James of Leland, was sentenced to 123 months in federal prison on charges related to the case.
