Fur coats stolen from Myrtle Beach business

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a burglary at a business where three fur coats were stolen, according to a police report.

Officers responded to Awesome Consignment Center at 1611 N. Kings Highway about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday for an alarm, police said. The front glass door had been shattered with a brick.

Police learned three full length fur coats, valued at $14,000, were reported stolen from the store, according to the report. The coats, which were on consignment to be sold by the store, were on display close to the front door.
