A North Myrtle Beach man was indicted by an Horry County grand jury on a charge he was driving while intoxicated and caused a crash that killed a Virginia man, according to court records.
Victor Mazariego-Gomez, 31, has been jailed since the July 31 crash in which 40-year-old Dragan Simic, 40, of Alexandria, Va., died from multiple trauma. The grand jury indicted Mazariego-Gomez on a charge of felony DUI resulting in death.
The wreck happened about 7:20 p.m. July 31 on Kings Highway near 33rd Avenue North in Myrtle Beach and involved several cars, police said.
Mazariego-Gomez has been jailed without bail since the incident.
