A Myrtle Beach taxi driver told police he was robbed by an armed man he picked up along Cedar Street, according to a police report.
The 38-year-old driver for Beach Taxi told police that he picked up the man at 2 a.m. Sept. 20 and the man ordered him to give him money and motioned with his right hand under his shirt like he had a gun, police said. The report about the incident was released Thursday.
The man said the suspect took his money and then ran away in the area of U.S. 501 and Cedar Street, according to the report. The suspect had left a bicycle next to an apartment building before he got into the taxi.
