A 60-year-old Myrtle Beach man told police a man put two rocks in a sock and hit him in the head after the man accused him of stealing $10, according to a police report.
The man told police he was sitting with friends in the area of Sixth Avenue North and Chester Street Tuesday night when a man approached him yelling that he stole $10 from his bag at Chapin Park, police said.
The man said the suspect put the rocks in the sock and then hit him twice in the back of the head before he walked away toward Kings Highway, according to the report. Police searched for the suspect in the area, but did not find him.
The man had no visible injuries, but was treated at the scene by EMS.
