Conway police have two in custody for questioning in the shooting death of a Conway man

Conway police have two people of interest in custody for questioning in connection with the shooting death of a Conway man Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

Malcolm Edward Kinlaw, 29, of Conway, died Wednesday at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he was flown by medical helicopter after he was shot Tuesday evening, Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said.

Kinlaw was initially taken to Conway Medical Center, but later transferred to the Charleston hospital.

Conway police responded to a single-car crash on Third Ave. at Thomas Supply Co. about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday when officers determined that the driver had been shot, said Lt. Tammy Carter.

The investigation is ongoing, Carter said.
