A Myrtle Beach man was arrested after police learned he punched a man who tried to break up an argument between the man and his wife while the man held the couple’s daughter, according to a police report.
Randell Wayne Robinson, 23, was charged with first-offense criminal domestic violence and simple assault after police were called at 7 p.m. Thursday to 1510 Coastal Way, police said.
A 20-year-old man told police he tried to break up an argument between Robinson and a 23-year-old woman when Robinson punched him in the face, according to the report. The man’s glasses were broken during the incident.
The woman told police she and Robinson argued about going to a department store and when she told him to go without her, he threatened to take their daughter, according to the report. She said she tried to get the child, whose age was not listed in the report, from Robinson and he shoved her against a wall.

Robinson told police he argued with the woman and she tried to take the girl from his hands so he put his hand up to push her aside, according to the report. Robinson said the man struck him in the face so he hit him back.
