Myrtle Beach man reports being robbed while walking along Ocean Boulevard

A Myrtle Beach man told police a man threw him to the ground along Ocean Boulevard and stole his wallet and laptop computer, according to a police report.

The 50-year-old man told police he was walking on the sidewalk about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Ocean Boulevard when he noticed the man was following him, police said.

The man said he crossed to the other side of the road and the suspect did the same thing, so he crossed the road again, according to the report. The man said the suspect came up to him, threw him to the ground and took his wallet from his pants pocket and his computer from a bag he was carrying.

The suspect had left the area when police arrived. The man was not hurt during the incident.
