Five people, including four employees, were charged with armed robbery in connection with a restaurant robbery in Georgetown County, according to authorities.
Police arrested Joseph Marquis Mention, 18, of 2106 S. Duke St., Georgetown; Adrian Lamont Brooks, 22, of 1016 Hanna Loop, Hemingway; Latasha Monique Duncan, 18, of 214 Bryant Rd, Georgetown; Keifer James McGrath, 19, of 2413 S. Fraser St., Georgetown; and Sheana Knowell Nesmith, 23, of 2541 Turkey Creek Rd., Nesmith, were each charged with armed robbery, said Deputy Russell Goodale, public information officer for the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Police were called Aug. 19 to the McDonalds located in Pawleys Island after a man climbed into the restaurant through the drive through window and was armed with a pipe, Goodale said. The man took an undisclosed amount of money and left through the window and employees saw him run from the area.
Duncan and Nesmith were arrested Sept. 20, while McGrath, Brooks and Mention were arrested Sept. 22, Goodale said. All have been released on bond. Duncan, Nesmith and McGrath were McDonald’s employees at the time.
