A Myrtle Beach man was charged with two counts assault after a woman and 13-year-old boy told police he punched and choked them, according to a police report.
Ernest Corey Woods, 21, of Myrtle Beach, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and battery after he was arrested Tuesday, police said.
A 46-year-old woman and 13-year-old boy told police Woods came home from work on Monday to 1201 Pinegrove Lane and demanded the boy go get him food, according to the report. When the boy refused, the boy and woman told police Woods hit the boy in the back of the head and the face.
The woman then tried to stop Woods and he grabbed her by the throat and shoved her, which caused her to fall down some steps, according to the report. Woods left the apartment before police arrived. The boy and woman refused treatment by EMS.
