Tennessee man reports being robbed by a man armed with a knife in Myrtle Beach

A Tennessee man told Myrtle Beach police he was robbed by a man with a knife while driving in the area of Fourth Avenue North and Flagg Street, according to a police report.

The 22-year-old man from Sevierville, Tenn., told police he was driving at 6 p.m. Wednesday when a man came up to his car window and asked for directions, police said. The man reported the incident at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, but the report as not approved until Monday night.

The man said the suspect leaned into the vehicle, put a knife against his neck and demanded all his belongings, according to the report. The man was unsure of his whereabouts and said he rode around the city until he found a police officer to report the incident.
