A Myrtle Beach man told police a man he knew knocked him off his bicycle and robbed him when he stopped to speak to the man, according to a police report.
The 58-year-old man told police he was riding in the area of Graham Avenue and Dunbar Street about 5 a.m. Tuesday when he saw the man, who is an acquaintance, police said.
The man said he stopped to speak to the suspect and when he went to ride away the man hit him in the face, according to the report. The man said the suspect knocked him to the ground and went through his pockets.
The suspect took the man’s identification and debit card, according to the report. But a woman found the items nearby and they were returned to the man, who did not know the name of the suspect.
