This is our adopted shelter dog, Raz. Raz had been an abused, abandoned puppy when my husband saw him at an adoption fair. He had been trussed up with wire and suffered deep lacerations on his hind legs and neck, in addition to having three toes amputated on one of his front paws.
This photo was taken shortly after he had surgery to remove a small, benign cyst from his ear. We thought the veterinarian did a very creative job with the dressing.
Raz is now a healthy, happy 7-year-old, 75-pounder who aspires to be a lap dog!
