A Myrtle Beach woman told police someone broke into her bedroom window and stole her purse while she slept, according to a police report.
The 21-year-old woman told officers she went to bed at 3:30 a.m. and woke up at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to find her bedroom window open and the screen cut, police said.
The woman said at first she thought it was a failed attempt to get inside her home located in the 300 block of Chester Street, but then she realized her purse was missing, according to the report. The woman’s purse was found in some bushes in the rear yard of the house, but cash was missing from it.
