Conway police are investigating a report that someone posted a bomb threat on a social media site maintained by two local television stations, according to Catina Hipp, public information officer.
Police were notified of the threats on Friday after someone posted a threat to “blow up Conway High School on each station’s Facebook fan page,” Hipp said in a release issued Monday.
Conway police with K-9 units conducted protective sweeps of the school and increased police presence on campus as additional security measures, Hipp said. Investigators are working with Facebook and Horry Telephone officials to identify the source of the threat.
More details will be posted as they become available.
