A Myrtle Beach taxi cab driver told police a man punched him in the face after he asked the man to pay a $16.90 fare, according to a police report.
The 41-year-old driver told police he picked up the man and a woman at Fantails gentleman’s club and drove them to the Lazy G Motel at 405 N. 27th Ave., in Myrtle Beach at 2 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
The driver said the man argued with him about paying the fare because he said it was too high and then punched the driver in the face, according to the report. The driver said he drove away to get away from the man, who kept punching him.
Police were not able to find the couple in the area.
