Myrtle Beach delivery man beaten, robbed of food

Myrtle Beach police searched for three men who were suspected of beating and robbing a food delivery person outside an apartment complex, according to a police report.

The 30-year-old man was delivering food to an apartment in the 200 block of Cedar Street at 6 p.m. Tuesday when he stopped to call the restaurant, Ho Wah Chinese, for more specific directions to the address, police said.

Three men approached the passenger side of the man’s vehicle and grabbed the food from the front seat, according to the report. The man said he got out and confronted the men and demanded the food be returned.

The man said the suspects hit him several times before the suspects ran away, according to the report. Witnesses reported seeing the incident and went to help the man after the attack. Police did not locate the suspects in the area.
