Myrtle Beach business robbed, employee assaulted

An employee of a Myrtle Beach business told police he was robbed and assaulted by two men inside the store, according to a police report.

The 29-year-old man told police the suspects came into Tienda Mexican Cissy located at 700 Seaboard St., at 5 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The man said the suspects selected a couple items and came to the counter to pay for them, according to the report. The man said he turned around to get a belt the suspects inquired about behind the counter and one of the men struck him in the neck and face.

The man said the suspects took his wallet, cell phone and car keys along with two computers and cash from the store before they fled in the vehicle the man was driving, according to the report. Myrtle Beach police recovered the vehicle after the incident.
