Brunswick County Sheriff's office arrests seven in drug bust

The Brunswick County Sheriff's drug enforcement unit seized marijuana, prescription medication and a firearm in a group of drug arrests.

The sheriff's office, which acted after getting complaints about drug activity at 480 Golden Lane in Supply, N.C., arrested seven people.

James Hegedus, 17, of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. was arrested on six charges including possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a controlled substance, possession or marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michael Donovan, 19, of Supply, N.C., was charged with one count of manufacturing marijuana.

Pate Christian Futch, 22, of Shallotte, N.C., was charged with possession of marijuana, one count of manufacturing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brandon Paul Clewis, 21, of Ash, N.C., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chase Maxmillon Gethers, of Shallotte, N.C., was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Mario Cassedy Alvarez, of Seagrove, N.C., was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Haley Nicole Hewett, of Shallotte, N.C., was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff's office continues to investigate the 'Golden Lane Club' and anyone with information should contact the drug enforcement unit at 910-253-2777.
