Myrtle Beach police investigate report of robbery

A 26-year-old Myrtle Beach man told police he was robbed by a man at an Ocean Boulevard motel, but a witness said the man argued with the suspect, according to a police report.

The man told police he was robbed of $60 at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday while at the Palmetto Vista II at 2506 S. Ocean Blvd., police said. At first the man said he was going to a friend’s room when the suspect hit him, pulled down his pants and took the cash from his pocket.

Later the man told police he saw a computer that he believed was his inside a room and when he asked the man about it the suspect argued with him, according to the report. A witness told police he saw the men argue about money before he saw the man drive away.
