Man charged after firing BB gun at man on mo-ped in Myrtle Beach

A Myrtle Beach man was released from jail Tuesday, one day after being charged with shooting a BB gun at another person, according to a police report.

Terrance Michael Nelson, 24, is charged with third-degree assault and battery and discharge of firearms in city limits after he was arrested Monday afternoon in Myrtle Beach. Bail was set at $2,469.

Officers reported that a man was riding his mo-ped down Ocean Boulevard when he was hit in the head and arms by ammunition from a BB gun, the report shows. The victim saw a barrel of a gun pointing out of a nearby apartment window.

Nelson left the apartment by the time police arrived, but witnesses pointed him out to officers at the scene.

Nelson admitted to shooting the gun at the victim and apologized, the report shows.
