Brunswick County authorities are searching for a North Carolina man on drug charges after officers seized more than 16 pounds of marijuana from his home, according to Sgt. April Stanley with the sheriff’s office.
Warrants were issued for Dennis Pratt Peregory, 54, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Stanley said.
Agents with the drug enforcement unit of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 828 Farmers Court in Shallotte on Friday, Stanley said. Deputies found marijuana plants growing inside the home and seized 16.5 pounds of marijuana.
Deputies also dismantled a growing system that included high energy lights, ballasts and a cooling system inside the home, Stanley said.
