A 16-year-old New Jersey boy told police he was robbed by while he was walking around Myrtle Beach at 2:30 a.m., according to a police report.
The teen from Lanoke Harbor, N.J., stopped a police officer along Mr. Joe White Avenue to report he was robbed, police said. The teen said he was out walking around along Spivey Avenue when someone called out to him from the porch of a house.
The teen said the suspect, who was much larger than him, asked how much money he had before he grabbed the teen, according to the report. The teen said the suspect took $10 from him before he ran away from the area and stopped a passing police officer.
Police returned the teen to his mother, who was searching for him, and they both told police they did not want to prosecute the incident, according to the report.
