Myrtle Beach police are investigating a report that a woman used counterfeit money at a local water park, according to a police report.

Police were called to Myrtle Waves at 4 p.m. Wednesday after an employee told police a woman used two counterfeit $10 bills to purchase food, police said.

The employee said she told the woman the bills were fake and the woman gave her a $5 bill to purchase her food and then left the park, according to the report. The employee told police she saw what appeared to be several counterfeit bills in the woman’s purse during the incident.
