A North Carolina man was arrested by Myrtle Beach police after police were stopped by witnesses who reported they saw the man assault a woman, according to a police report.
Officers were flagged down in the area of Fifth Avenue North and the Boardwalk about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Terrence Demond Dixon, 29, of Conover, N.C., was charged with criminal domestic violence after a 39-year-old woman told police he shoved her to the ground during an argument, according to a report. People nearby saw the incident and reported it to police.
Dixon and the woman were intoxicated, according to the report. The woman refused medical treatment from EMS.
