Myrtle Beach police arrested three Pennsylvania residents after officers recovered more than $2,700 in stolen items including 46 boxes of cigarettes, according to a police report.
Matthew Donavan Rittle, 20, of Lebanon, Pa.; Amber Nicole Viramontes, 21, of Quentin, Pa.; and Tiffany Joe Arndt, 20, of Annville, Pa., were each charged with possession and receiving stolen goods after officers were called about 1 a.m. Sunday to the parking lot behind Mammy’s Kitchen at 1010 N. Kings Highway, police said.
Rittle and Viramontes were also charged with public intoxication and Rittle was charged as being a fugitive from justice, according to the report. The trio were arrested after police found the cigarettes, two pairs of sunglasses, three gift cards and a cell phone reported stolen from a Hess Express station in Schaefferstown, Pa.
Police were called to the parking lot because a towing company was in the process of removing their vehicle, according to the report. When police checked their identities, Myrtle Beach officers learned the vehicle was wanted in connection with the theft at the store.
