A Garden City Beach man was arrested Sunday morning while driving his golf cart and faces several charges in connection to stolen goods he allegedly had in his possession, according to Capt. Arron Miller of the Surfside Beach Police Department.
Robert David Youngblood is charged with breaking into autos, petit larceny, possession of criminal tools, driving under suspension for DUI and golf cart violation, Miller said.
A police officer saw Youngblood driving the golf cart at 3 a.m.on Ocean Boulevard near Melody Lane, Miller said. The officer stopped Youngblood and noticed he had several items on the golf cart including a GPS unit and bags with tennis equipment.
Youngblood told officers he was on his way to play tennis, Miller said.

Officers learned the items were stolen from a vehicle on 1600 block of South Ocean Blvd.
Bail was set at $9,378.75 for Youngblood who is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
