Personalities from hit NBC-TV weight-loss reality show 'The Biggest Loser' will participate in the inaugural "Biggest Loser Event Challenge' on Sept. 25 in Myrtle Beach.
The event will feature a 5K and 1-mile/run designed to inspire people to get moving, according to an announcement this morning by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
This is the kickoff event of a 16-event nationwide schedule. The remainder of the schedule has not been announced.

The event will be filmed by NBC for a two-hour Biggest Loser special in November.
The show, first broadcast in 2004, helps contestants lose large amounts of weight. The contestant who loses the most weight wins $250,000.
