A Myrtle Beach man was cited after police suspected him of impersonating a police officer, according to a police report.
Michael Blair Beesley, 26, was cited for a lights equipment violation after police stopped him about 9 p.m. Wednesday after a person reported Beesley was driving a white Crown Victoria with strobe lights inside, police said.
The man told police Beesley told him to pull over to check his vehicle because he heard a noise, according to the report. The man said he did not think the vehicle was a police car.
Police learned Beesley had been warned before about the lights inside the vehicle, according to the report.
