A 26-year-old Murrells Inlet woman told Conway police her former boyfriend held her and her two children against their will and threatened to harm them before she was able to escape and lock herself in a gas station bathroom, according to a police report.
The woman reported the incident at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after police were called to the Carolina Petro station on S.C. 544, police said. The woman said the 24-year-old man picked her and her two children up from a friend’s house in North Myrtle Beach.
The woman said the man took her to a home on Kenneth Street in Conway and held them there while he threatened to harm them, according to the report. The woman said they drove to the gas station and she was able to get away from him.
The woman said she locked herself in the restroom while employees called police, according to the report. Once officers arrived at the scene, the woman said she did not want to prosecute the man. Conway police are investigating the incident.
