When I moved in with my boyfriend two years ago, his two miniature dachshunds, Heidi and Max, were used to being alone and having complete run of the house. When we brought 6-week-old Punkin in the dachshunds didn't know what to think about her. Now, to see them playing together is so sweet and fun. Punkin likes to play with both Heidi and Max, chasing them around the house and even following us on our walks through the neighborhood.
When Punkin finally tires herself out along with Heidi and Max, they lie down for naps together on the couch. We're convinced that Punkin thinks of herself as a dog; when she follows us on our walks, she even pants with her tongue hanging out.
