A 36-year-old woman was arrested in Myrtle Beach for being a fugitive from justice in North Carolina, according to a police report.
Cindy Sue Beason, 36, was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday at the Islander Cay Apartments located at 400 S. 17th Ave., after police were in the area searching for a wanted person, police said.
When police approached Beason, she told the officer she knew she was wanted by North Carolina authorities, according to the report. Police confirmed North Carolina authorities would extradite her and then arrested her.
Beason told officers she had been living in the Myrtle Beach area for about a year and the warrant had been outstanding since July 2009. Details about the charge Beason was wanted for were not listed in the report.
