A Boiling Springs man told Myrtle Beach police he was robbed and assaulted on the beach under the 14th Avenue pier, according to a police report.
The 18-year-old man told police he met a woman while walking along Ocean Boulevard and she asked him to walk with her on the beach, police said. The man said when they got near the pier she asked to use his cell phone to call her mother.
A few minutes later at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the man said two other men walked up to the couple and one man hit him in the back of the head with what the teen thought was a gun, according to the report. The man said he fell to the sand and the other man hit him in the face twice and one of the men took money from his pants pocket.
The man had cuts to his face and head and was treated by EMS at the scene.
