Myrtle Beach police are searching for a man who assaulted and robbed a man at Myrtle’s Market, according to a police report.
The 51-year-old Myrtle Beach man told police he was seated on a bench with a friend about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man came up and asked for money, police said.
The 51-year-old man said he refused, then the other man hit him in the head, which caused him to fall and hit his head on the ground, according to the report. While the man was on the ground, the attacker got his wallet and took money from it.
The man was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the report. Police did not find the attacker in the area.
