North Myrtle Beach police seek information about robbery, kidnapping

North Myrtle Beach police are seeking information about the robbery and kidnapping of two juveniles that occurred earlier this month along Ocean Boulevard and on Wednesday released surveillance photos of one of the suspects, according to a release.

The boys were picked up by two men at 10:50 p.m. July 7 at First Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard and rode around with the suspects for about two hours, according to Nicole Aiello, city spokeswoman. Just before 1 a.m. the boys asked to be dropped off at their hotel, but the suspects took them to an area behind a condominium complex off Second Avenue North and robbed them.

The boys were not hurt, but had their wallets and cash stolen, Aiello said. The boys described the vehicle as a white Honda-type car with custom rims, tinted windows, black leather interior, custom radio with neon blue lighting and possibly a tail fin on the vehicle’s trunk.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect can call North Myrtle Beach Detective Joel McGartlin at 280-5506.
