Myrtle Beach teen reports assault, attempted robbery

A Myrtle Beach teen told police he was assaulted when he refused to give his car keys to another man, according to a police report.

The teen told police that at 12:30 a.m. Sunday outside Carolina Breeze Apartments at 100 Cedar St., he went to visit a friend when the suspect came up and tried to take his keys, police said.

The teen said he refused to give up his keys and soon three other men began hitting and kicking him, according to the report. When the four men were not able to get the teen’s keys they ran away.

The teen went to Conway Medical Center for a cut to his lip, according to the report.
