Three Ohio residents were arrested by Myrtle Beach police on charges they fought with a 40-year-old North Carolina man along Ocean Boulevard, according to a police report.
Ricky Lamar Greenwell, 22, of Newark, Ohio was charged with lynching, Gregory Matthias Avery, 20, also of Newark, Ohio was charged with third degree assault and lynching and Kenisha Rayjean Body, 17, of Heath, Ohio was charged with being a party to a crime, police said. A third man was not identified by police, but was involved in the incident.
The charges stemmed from the man, who is from Charlotte, being assaulted twice as he walked with his wife, son and daughter along Ocean Boulevard, according to the report. The man said the group were in a vehicle and as they approached the family walking along the sidewalk one of the men made a remark about the man’s wife.
The man said he told the men to watch their language and one of the men got out of the vehicle and punched him, according to the report. Two other men also exited the vehicle and assaulted the man.

The suspects drove away and a short time later two of the men walked up to the victim and assaulted him again, according to the report. Police found the suspects in a nearby parking lot and arrested the trio after a short chase. The suspects fled the vehicle and the third man eluded police.
