Myrtle Beach men assault each other with pot, pan during argument about missing wallet

Police were called to a Myrtle Beach apartment after two men used a kitchen pot and pan to assault each other during an argument about a missing wallet, according to a police report.

The 50-year-old man told police the 56-year-old man accused him of stealing his wallet and the men argued at 5 a.m. Wednesday at 2808 S. Ocean Blvd., police said.

The younger man said the older man picked up a frying pan and swung at him, hitting his wrist as he defended himself, according to the report. The man said he picked up a pot and hit the older man with it.

The older man told police he accused the younger man of stealing his wallet, they argued and the younger man struck him first with a metal pot, according to the report. The older man denied hitting the other man, but police found bruises on both men, who had been drinking.

Both men refused medical treatment and police were unable to determine the primary aggressor.
