Myrtle Beach police planned to issue a warrant for a man who beat a 52-year-old man with a pipe, according to a police report.
The man told police he was walking out the front door at 1652 Stuart Square Circle about 8 p.m. Monday when the suspect, a 35-year-old man, was walking in, police said. The man said the suspect pushed him in the back with the front door and he continued outside to a chair.
The man said the suspect came out, slapped him and then went to his car and got a pipe, according to the report. The man said the suspect hit him three times with the pipe before he fled the scene in his car.
A witness told police she saw the incident from her kitchen and the suspect left when she said she was calling police, according to the report. The man suffered a deep cut on his hand and appeared to be in pain from being hit in the back.
