Trio arrested for robbing Myrtle Beach hotel clerk

Myrtle Beach police charged two men and a woman in connection with a robbery at a hotel, according to authorities.

James S. Richardson Jr., 22, Jennifer Nicole Richardson, 23, and Antonio Carlos Graham Jr., were each charged with armed robbery after Horry County police stopped their vehicle early Thursday in the Green Sea area, Myrtle Beach police Capt. David Knipes said. Graham also was charged with possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

An employee of Grande Shores at 201 N. 77th Ave., called police just before midnight Wednesday to report being robbed at gunpoint, according to a police report. The man told police someone knocked on the back door at the hotel and when he opened it a masked man forced his way inside and pointed a gun at him.

The employee said the suspect forced him to the ground and then took his wallet from his pocket, according to the report. The employee said a woman, who was with the man, took money from the cash drawers and bank bags.

Horry County police stopped the vehicle and found the bags inside the car, Knipes said.
