A 35-year-old Myrtle Beach woman remains jailed after she was arrested last week on prostitution charges, according to police and jail records.
Gretchen L. Marston, 35, was charged with prostitution after she got into a vehicle with an undercover police officer about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Ocean Boulevard and Ninth Avenue North, police said.
Marston is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $781 bail, according to jail records.
The officer wrote in his report he was working undercover when he stopped where Marston was walking and she got in his vehicle. According to the report, Marston and the officer agreed on a sexual act for $30 and a police officer in a marked vehicle stopped them and arrested her.

The officer said when they were being stopped by the other officer, Marston formulated a story of how they knew each other and what they were doing, according to the report.
