North Carolina couple robbed at gunpoint in Myrtle Beach

Two Asheboro, N.C., residents said they were robbed at gunpoint on Monday morning in Myrtle Beach, according to a police report.

The 17-year-old woman and 22-year-old man told officers a man stopped them near the intersection of Sixth Avenue North and Chester Street at 2 a.m. The robber had his hand inside his pocket and told the couple, "Give me your money or I'm going to kill you,'' the report shows.

The couple gave the robber $45 before he left the scene. The victims told police the man got into a dark-colored vehicle and left at a high rate of speed.

Police are investigating.
